Welcome to the launch of “My Sister’s Place- Women’s Advice Centre” this is an exciting, new initiative based in central Middlesbrough and provides support, assistance and advice to women who have or are experiencing domestic violence by providing a “one stop shop” facility.

This provision allows women to access a wide range of agency and support services relating to domestic violence on an emotional and practical level under one roof.

Furthermore, the centre also has a drop in facility and the centre is staffed by specialist, dedicated and passionate workers, agencies, organisations and volunteers.

Historically, women have approached up to ten different agencies for advice and support and My Sister’s Place aims to significantly reduce this unnecessary and time consuming task of seeking advice under extremely difficult, stressful and in some circumstances highly dangerous conditions.
