One Day Training Course

This one day course is to be held at Thorntree Community Centre, Birkhall Road on Tuesday 14th November 2006.

The course begins at 9.30am and ends at 4 pm.

A light lunch is provided.

OBJECTIVES

• To broaden participant’s knowledge about the range of abuse that makes up domestic violence and its incidence.
• To understand the reasons women stay in a violent relationship.
• Participants to broaden their knowledge of the local multi-agency approach to domestic violence and have an understanding of procedures
• Have an understanding of the definition of domestic violence
• To have an understanding of the impact on children and the statutory duty toward child protection
• To have an understanding of the range of measures available to protect women and children
